Wills & Trusts Workshop
Prince of Peace Parish
The Catholic Foundation of Northeast Kansas partnered with Prince of Peace Catholic Church to host an educational workshop on Wills & Trusts, welcoming 26 attendees from Prince of Peace and nearby parishes. Led by Estate Planning Attorney Casey Connealy of Gaughan & Connealy, the workshop emphasized the importance of planning for the future, ensuring medical decisions align with your wishes, and using estate planning tools to provide for loved ones and causes like your parish.
Catholic Advisors Network - Kansas City
This month, the Catholic Advisors Network joined together for lunch, networking, and a presentation on "Incorporating Philanthropy Into Your Practice." We would like to thank the professional advisors who were able to attend, as well as speaker Bill Eckert, AEP, CAP, and Queen of the Holy Rosary- Overland Park, for hosting. Tax Reducing Strategies- St. Joseph, Shawnee
On March 12th, St. Joseph Parish in Shawnee hosted their second Wine and Wisdom Workshop: Tax Reducing Strategies for Pre- and Post- Retirees with Bill Eckert, CAP. Attendees enjoyed an incredible display of wine and charcuterie while learning about ways to increase their income and lower their taxes through philanthropy. 11th Annual Archbishop's High School Art Exhibit
The Catholic Fine Arts Council hosted the 11th Annual Archbishop's High School Art Exhibit Awards Reception on March 13th. This year's theme, "Where Heaven Meets Earth" is depicted in the students’ artwork and in their reflections. Congratulations to this year’s winners, and thank you to all of the talented students who participated! The public art exhibition will run until April 30th at Savior Pastoral Center in the Art Hallway. Don’t miss your opportunity to check out some amazing art pieces created by high school students in our archdiocese!
Continuing Education Program
We have organized another strong, Catholic-centered program for the 15th Annual St. Thomas More Continuing Education Program. Our CE Program is a great opportunity to network in person, obtain continuing education credit, and support the Catholic professional community. Registration is now open for this year's event! Tax Reducing Strategies- Sacred Heart
On March 26th, Sacred Heart of Jesus in Shawnee hosted a workshop on "Tax Reducing Strategies" with Bill Eckert, CAP. Attendees were presented with different real-life scenarios about the myth and reality of charitable giving, including the myth that giving to charity means disinheriting your children. While you're not disinheriting your children - you're disinheriting the tax man. By incorporating charitable giving into your estate plans, you ensure that more of your wealth benefits your family and causes you care about - rather than going to taxes.
