The Catholic Fine Arts Council hosted the 9th Annual Archbishop's Invitational High School Art Exhibit Awards Reception on March 3rd, 2023. This year's theme, "Eucharist, May We Never Lose Our Wonder" invited students to meditate upon the miracle of the Eucharist, and depict their own personal encounter with Christ in the Eucharist through expression of their artistic talents. The beauty of this theme is evident in each of the works that are on display.

Judging was completed by Fr. Gerard Alba, Laney Haake, Barb Muzik, and Julie Flanagan. Julie Flanagan also led an interactive art activity during the awards reception entitled "Art Celebrating the Wonder of the Eucharist," where students blended colored inks on tiles in Catholic symbolic colors and infused gold to represent God entering their souls through the Eucharist.

Thank you to our talented students from Bishop Miege High School, Bishop Ward High School, Saint Thomas Aquinas, Maur Hill Mount Academy, and St. James Academy. A sincere thank you to the parents of these artistic students and to our Catholic high schools’ dedicated art faculty.

Thank you to the Catholic Fine Arts Council, Office of Catholic Schools, Savior Pastoral Center, and the Catholic Foundation of Northeast Kansas that provides the sponsorship for Archbishop's Annual High School Art Exhibition.

The public exhibition will run from March 3 - April 30, 2023 at Savior Pastoral Center in the Art Hallway. Don’t miss your opportunity to check out some amazing art pieces created by high school students in our Archdiocese!

We have organized another strong, Catholic-centered program with a great speaker lineup for the 13th annual St. Thomas More Continuing Education Program. Our CE Program is a great opportunity to network in person, obtain continuing education credits, and support the Catholic professional community.

Registration is now open for this year's event. There are also sponsorship opportunities available. Visit https://www.cfnek.org/events/thomas-more to learn more, and remember to share these Continuing Education Program marketing materials with your colleagues and friends.
