April Newsletter

We have organized another strong Catholic-centered program with a great speaker lineup for the 13th annual St. Thomas More Continuing Education Program. Our CE Program is a great opportunity to network in person, obtain continuing education credit, and support the Catholic professional community.

Registration is now open for this year's event. There are also sponsorship opportunities available. Visit https://www.cfnek.org/events/thomas-more to learn more, and remember to share these Continuing Education Program marketing materials with your colleagues and friends.

Thank you to our Continuing Education Program Sponsors!

When asked why the Catholic Foundation of Northeast Kansas is important to him, here is what Jeff said:

"The Catholic Foundation of Northeast Kansas is important to me because our Catholic faith and the resources God has blessed each of us with are a stewardship. In the Parable of the Talents, we are reminded that it’s not until we are 'faithful in small matters' that God will place us in charge of bigger matters. The Catholic Foundation helps each of us be better stewards in the everyday things that God has put us in charge of….. so that He can put us in charge of even bigger matters."

During the month of April, the Catholic Foundation of Northeast Kansas hosted our second event for the Catholic Advisors Network. The evening began with networking amongst local attorneys, financial planners, accountants, and life insurance consultants, followed by a presentation and discussion on the Secure Act 2.0 given by Casey Connealy of Gaughan & Connealy. We would like to thank CrossFirst Bank for hosting, Casey Connealy of Gaughan & Connealy for speaking on "The Secure Act 2.0," and all of the professionals who were able to attend.

We are excited about the future of the Catholic Advisors Network. We are compiling The Catholic Advisors Network Directory to be made available to the Catholic faithful who are in need of services in estate planning, charitable gift planning, tax matters, and financial and retirement planning. The directory will also serve as a great networking tool for Catholic advisors. If you would like to be listed in the Catholic Advisors Network Directory, please complete and submit your information here.

Are you curious about how easy it is to open an endowment, a scholarship, or a donor advised fund at the Catholic Foundation of Northeast Kansas?

We would love to discuss your situation and philanthropic goals to explore your faith-aligned giving. Philanthropy really does start with a simple conversation.
