Board Member Highlight

We’re thrilled to share that CrossFirst Bank CFO Ben Clouse, President of the CFNEK Board of Directors, has been named among the 2025 CFO of the Year honorees by the Kansas City Business Journal! Ben, who joined CrossFirst in 2021, is included among a distinguished group of 16 CFOs across a variety of industries in the Kansas City region. Ben has been a steadfast leader, guiding the Catholic Foundation with wisdom, integrity, and a deep commitment to our mission. Through his dedication, we've expanded our impact and strengthened our ability to support our Catholic communities. Congratulations, Ben!

New Endowment Fund!

With the guidance of Fr. Mike Peterson, the St. Bernard Pastoral and Finance councils opened a new endowment at the Catholic Foundation. We are incredibly grateful for their investment in future generations of the parish and look forward to our new relationship with St. Bernard Parish in Wamego! If the time is right for your parish, school, or ministry to create an endowment, we would love to get in touch with you.

The Enderle-Bogenrife Scholarship provides financial assistance to a Catholic high school student in Leavenworth or Wyandotte Counties, Kansas, who plans to attend a trade school. The scholarship will be applied toward the student's trade school tuition.

This year's scholarship recipient, Camila Arriaga, a student from Bishop Ward High School, will continue her education at Metropolitan Community College. She will be focused on learning all about auto collision and repair, and entrepreneurship. In Camila's scholarship essay and during the scholarship check presentation program, Camila expressed how this scholarship would change her life by allowing her, as a woman, to succeed in the auto collision industry. This scholarship will help her achieve her dreams of owning her own auto collision business someday. Camila expressed her gratitude to God and her family, and the staff at Bishop Ward High School, who helped shape her into the person she is now. Congratulations, Camila Arriaga!
