2024 Grant Program

Supporting Parishes & Ministries

The Catholic Foundation of Northeast Kansas (CFNEK) has become a key source of education, support, and training that helps ensure the continuation of the mission of the parishes and organizations across the Archdiocese of Kansas City in Kansas. To Catholic entities, we provide strategic tools and fund management to ensure fiscal integrity and promote long-term financial security.

For the 2024 CFNEK Grant Program, grants were available to parishes, schools, ministries, and other Catholic entities within the Archdiocese of Kansas City in Kansas. Grants were awarded to sixteen organizations, for purposes that align with the CFNEK’s mission to collaborate with parishes, schools, ministries, and institutions to develop additional resources and support.

“Our inaugural Bala Bash fundraising event was a success! Tickets for the event sold out within the first week, filling the capacity of our parish hall at 150 people. Many parishioners donated items for the silent and live auction, as well as supplies, prizes, decorations, and refreshments for the event.  The response from our parish community was overwhelmingly positive. Net profits from the event were over $15,000. Monetary proceeds for the event came from ticket sales, tips at the bar, game tickets for a wine pull and whiskey ring toss, silent auction of 56 donated themed baskets, live auction of 13 items, a 50/50 raffle, and cash donations. When called to act, our parishioners responded with many more in-kind donations than we had anticipated, which kept our costs for this event low. Attendees commented on what a great time they had! Conversations have started regarding the possibility of moving the event to a larger location. A committee of volunteers has been formed to begin planning for next year’s event in the spring of 2026.”
